If you’ve ever leafed through a design magazine, you’ll know that there are certain houses that capture the imagination and take the breath away. The homes at Edgewood are just such places – beautiful, stylish, impressive, but at the same time fun and functional places in which to live life to the full.

At Edgewood MilliganGray has worked with Griffner to bring a strong Scottish sensibility to the design of all the homes on offer. This means that each property has an impressive, contemporary look that also respects its surroundings.

Externally, each of the house styles have been designed to make a strikingly beautiful visual statement. Large picture windows, beautiful external cladding and fine slate roofs combine to produce properties that are rooted in the landscape, but also forward looking and modern.

Space and light

When you walk into any of the homes, the first thing that will strike you is the sense of space and light. Double-height entrance halls provide a dramatic first impression. Sweeping staircases add a grand, almost theatrical, element and give you the feeling that you are in a truly special home.

A real sense of spaciousness, transparency and light is carried through each home thanks to large open-plan living areas that feature clean lines and a stylish, contemporary feel. Folding glass doors blur the boundary between inside and out, adding to the feeling of brightness and freedom. Garden rooms are capable of being used in a number of ways, from basic storage to reading room, right through to garden spa – these are great spaces capable of fully defining the rear social garden space.

Home gyms and cinema rooms

The interior design cleverly combines free-flowing public spaces with more private areas to provide the flexibility demanded by today’s families. Many fantastic features are on offer such as cinema rooms, home gyms, dedicated laundries, palatial dressing rooms and en-suite bathroom suites. While large garages, utility rooms and extremely generous built-in storage all add vital practicality.

These are homes that can adapt to your changing needs, providing a variety of lifestyle choices – you’ll find that you’ve got much more space to play with than in a conventional home. How you use it is up to you.
